Odisha police has registered an FIR against actor-turned-politician Tatwa Prakash Satapathy aka Papu Pom Pom in connection with casting couch allegations involving a minor girl. The FIR was lodged on the basis of the complaint filed by Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Nirupama Rath, Police commissioner YB Khurania said. Pappu Pom Pom has been charged under various under sections 354 (A), 506 & 509 of IPC and the POCSO Act, the commissioner said. “This comes under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Prima facie, it appears that sexual assault and sexual harassment has taken place. We have issued an order to the Mahila Police to register a case under the ACT. As the girl is in a traumatized state, the victim and her family should be given protection. We have also asked the DCPO to coordinate with the police in the case in order to give justice to the girl,” CWC Member Benudhar Sahu had said. China  maintains its opposition  to India joining a group of nations seeking to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons by controlling access to sensitive technology, said the head of the arms control department in China's Foreign Ministry.  The Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) met this week in Seoul, but China said it would not bend the rules and allow India membership as it had not signed the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), the main global arms control pact.  "Applicant countries must be signatories of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of nuclear weapons (NPT)," Wang Qun, the head of arms control department in China's Foreign Ministry, was quoted as saying in Seoul on Thursday night.  "This is a pillar, not something that China set.
