Is 'TE3N' a remake of a Korean thriller?
Is Amitabh Bachhan's upcoming film is a remake of 'Montage', a 2013 South Korean thriller. The award-winning film is about woman who is in search of her kidnapped daughter.
The trailer of the forthcoming Hindi film 'Te3n', which was launched recently, has generated curiosity among cine goers. Viewers are keen to see how this Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer, set in Kolkata, will unravel on screen. However, it has also made movie aficionados draw parallels with 'Montage', a 2013 South Korean thriller. The award-winning film is about woman who is in search of her kidnapped daughter.
Things take a turn when just five days before the case's statute of limitations expires, a flower is found at crime scene. A few days later, another kidnapping takes place. The detective, who was in charge of the earlier case, gears up to solve the riddle.
The makers of 'Te3n' though have ensured that there is a twist in the tale. Instead of a mother, the story features a grandfather (Big B) while they have replaced the male inspector with a female cop (Vidya Balan). They have also introduced a priest's character (Nawazuddin) to the pacy thriller. Let's see if 'Te3n' manages to win a few awards like its original.
