State Bank of India  (SBI) has offered to have a one-time settlement of the Kingfisher Airlines loan issue with India's former liquor baron Vijay Mallya. However, the bank would like him to agree that he would repay the outstanding principal amount along with some interest and legal fees.  To this, Mallya has put some conditions which are said to unacceptable to the bank, as said by SBI chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya.  Bhattacharya told a parliamentary panel, set up for scrutinizing amendments to debt recovery laws, that in the past, SBI has aggressively tackled the matter and is now open to reaching one-time settlements, only if he offers to repay the principal along with a reasonable amount of interest.  However, she said that while Mallya had expressed his willingness to have a settlement, he had laid down some of his conditions which were not acceptable to the country's largest bank, which led the consortium of PSBs that had approached the court for an order agains

Here is the information that tells about the dealing of India with such dialogues. As soon as the first nuclear warhead hits the Indian Mainland, India’s policy of ‘no first use’ goes out into the drain. After a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security, the government issued a statement on January 4, 2003, spelling out India’s nuclear doctrine and the operational of its nuclear deterrent. The salient features of the government statement included the following: India will build and maintain a credible minimum deterrent; follow a no-first-use posture; and will use nuclear weapons only “in retaliation against a nuclear attack on Indian territory or on Indian forces anywhere .” It was also affirmed that nuclear retaliation to a first strike will be massive and designed to inflict unacceptable damage;  retaliatory attacks will be authorized only by the civilian political leadership through the Nuclear Command Authority; nuclear weapons will not be used against nonnuclear weapo

Do You Know? Why the Internet Speed in India is Low?

Image
This maybe shocking, but the primary reason is ' low demand for high speed internet' ! If you can get 30 people to signup for high-speed internet within 300 meter radius of your house, then your internet service provider would be happy to give you high speed internet! I am not just making this up, but I really tried to do it about 3 years ago. Information from a general public user: About until 1.5years ago, the only internet provider at many location was BSNL. People were using their 4 Mbps plan which was the highest possible plan at my location. Yes, 4 Mbps is a pretty descend speed and was enough to watch YouTube videos and to maks Skype calls. Although I was on an 'Unlimited' plan, there was a strange thing called FUP or Fair Usage Policy in India, which throttles your speed to 512Kbps if you use more than 20GB data. I used to hit that limit within 20 days every month, even if I do everything to conserve data. (FUP is still there in India) This may stil

India unlikely to be allowed into nuclear club (NSG) for now;

Image
India will need to wait a while longer before it joins the elite club of nation s that control trade in adva nced nuclear  technologies, acco rding to three diplomats with knowled ge of the process. The Nuclear Suppliers Group, or NSG, is unlikely to accept India's application for membership when it meets June 20 in Seoul because officials in New Delhi haven't yet met all the criteria for admission, said the diplomats, who represent governments inside the 48-nation group, according to the Bloomberg News.  They asked not to be named inline with diplomatic rules for discussing private deliberations. A delay could roil plans by President Barack Obama and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who were meeting in Washington on Tuesday, to bring the world'ssecond-most-populous nation into the nuclear mainstream. It would push back a decision on Indian membership to later in the year, and risk bumping into the U.S. presidential election. Secretary of State John Ker

Image
Verbal abuse  (also known as reviling or "  verbal  bullying") is described as a negative defining statement told to the victim or about the victim, or by withholding any response, thereby defining the target as non-existent.  The most maddening—and the most common—response I get when I write about the daughters and sons of unloving mothers is that people point out that the ones I write about were "only" ( quotations marks mine, and meant ironically ) verbally  abused. Science knows better, but the culture does not; the mantra seems to be that if you’re not bleeding or physically maimed, you’re not  really  hurt. Words  are  powerful: They can lift us up and beat us down, soothe us or wound us. Here’s a brief run-down of what science knows about verbal aggression and which you should too, especially if you’re a parent or just a member of the human  race . Verbal aggression and abuse can be part of an intimate relationship or  friendship  but it also shows up
